Elton John, the legendary music icon, has always been known for his flamboyant style. But at the recent premiere of his biopic, Never Too Late, he took his fashion statement to a new level.

In a recent speech at the New York Film Festival, John opened up about his health struggles, revealing that he’s had numerous body parts removed over the years.

“To be honest with you, there’s not much of me left,” he shared. “I don’t have tonsils, adenoids or an appendix. I don’t have a prostate. I don’t have a right hip or a left knee or a right knee.”

Despite these challenges, John remains defiant. And at the London premiere, he showcased that defiance in a truly unique way, by boldly wearing a necklace prominently featuring his old kneecap, outlined in gold and hanging on a gold bone-like chain.

Elton John wears a necklace made of his own patella, at the ‘Elton John: Never Too Late’ Headline Gala on October 10.

It’s a confronting yet powerful accessory and, if anything, a literal symbol of his ability to turn adversity into art.

Fans can catch Elton John: Never Too Late on Disney+ on December 13th.
