Following the absolutely ground breaking news this morning that Joe Biden has resigned as Democratic Presidential nominee, whispers are circulating that his Vice President, Kamala Harris, might carry the torch moving forward. With her potential rival for the top spot, Gavin Newson, saying he will fully support her if she decides to run, describing her as “Tough. Fearless. Tenacious”. Gavin wrote on X this morning: “With our democracy at stake and our future on the line, no one is better to prosecute the case against Donald Trump’s dark vision and guide our country in a healthier direction than America’s Vice President, @KamalaHarris”.

After several very public blunders from Biden over the past few weeks, it’s no secret that even his supporters were wondering if he was fit to run for President of the United States. Below are a few very hard watches:

For obvious reason, a lot of people are applauding Biden for stepping out of the election, including our very own Albanese, who said “President Biden deserves today to be recognised for once again, not putting himself forward first, but giving his first consideration to being what he believes is in the interests of the United States of America, as he’s as he has done his whole public life,”

At this point Biden will be serving the rest of his term as president, but considering the absolute rollercoaster that is the election, that could change at any moment.

So, who do you think should take his place?
