Liam Gallagher has responded to his brother’s recent comments made on the topic of an Oasis reunion.

Noel was sitting in for an interview with a Seattle radio station when the ever-present question of reuniting the brothers was raised. Noel responded in his standard, charming style.

“He’s been going on about it for the last f##king ten years or whatever it is and, you know, he doesn’t want it,” Noel said of Liam consistently calling for reunion of the massive Britpop outfit.

“He knows that neither of us are particularly interested in it. I know he doesn’t want it. I’m very comfortable with what I’m doing. I couldn’t give a flying f##k one way or the other, but he keeps going on about it and I’m like ‘okay, well f##king call us then.”

Following on from Noel’s comments, Liam took to Twitter to take a veiled jab at his estranged brother, alluding to the fact that he hasn’t been acting like himself…

And while this long-running feud is always great fodder for us who love to grab some popcorn and watch on, it’s not exactly the best news for music (because more feuding means less Oasis and more Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds…and nobody’s happy about that!)

The conversation around an Oasis reunion seems to be hitting fever pitch of late, with the 30th anniversary of the band’s iconic debut album ‘Definitely, Maybe’ looming next year. Might we see the most unlikely resolution to a family drama ever by then? Doubt it.
