The first trailer for Netflix’s WHAM! documentary is here. Diving deep into George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley’s personal archives including never-before-seen-footage, the film follows the duo’s four year journey from teengage school friends to global superstars.
Charting the band’s whirlwind career before Michael went solo, the documentary also grapples with Michael’s desire for stardom and emergence as a gay icon.
“The success was so much more than I had ever dreamed of,” recalls Ridgeley, “and with your best mate. It was just absolutely magical”.
