In a story many Melburnians are now used to, long lines and traffic delays have become a regular occurence this week as major contruction projects commence.
Nine of the 16 lines in the Metro network will be out of action for widespread track repairs in Melbourne’s west until July 9.
Nine News reports that there will also be “significant travel changes” for road users as West Gate Tunnel Project works begin, with Dynon Road in West Melbourne closed until August 31.
Faced with long lines for bus replacements, one commuter commented, “Melbourne is very bad. It’s a very bad experience at train stations.
At least we’re all in this together!
